Rob Klingensmith

—Director of Strategy, CUTWATER

A fascination with Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds, Marshall McLuhan and the modern media culture, combined with a degree in Applied Psychology have led Rob quite naturally to the advertising industry. The past fifteen years - spread across Dallas, Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco - have been spent searching for an understanding of the strange alchemy that makes brands and their communications work. At The Richards Group, TBWA\Chiat\Day, and Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, Rob has used this understanding to help guide strategic communications on many of the world's most famous brands - including ABC TV, Absolut Vodka, Adobe, Beierdorf, Champion Sports, Dreyers/Edy's, Elizabeth Arden, E*Trade, HP, Jack in the Box, KPMG, Levi's, Motel 6, Quaker State, Real Networks, and The San Francisco Ballet, among others.
