  1. Hi,
I’ve been using the 30 days trial Balsamiq.cloud to see if it could fit my needs. It does. The company policy is to buy the desktop app. Is there any way I could transfer my cloud project to the desktop version? I’ve tried to find the answer by myself by googling or through the FAQ’s but I have not found any related topic. Thanks for your help and Happy New Year.

    • Hi Marie-Catherine and thanks for getting in touch!

Both products use our BMPR file format so you can indeed move your file from Balsamiq Cloud to Mockups 3 for Desktop by downloading your BMPR file and open it in the Desktop version.

The only thing to check is that you’re using the latest Desktop version (3.5.16), available here.

Hope this helps! Don’t hesitate to reach out via support@balsamiq.com if you have more questions. 🙂

  2. Hi,

I started a free trial but realized I get full access through the Career Foundry and noticed that I’m missing some assets that our tutors have in their videos. Can I end my trial and use the registry info I was given through CF?

    Thanks,

    Brian

    • Hi Brian,

Sure thing! Could you please send us an email with more details about this? We’d love to hear which product you are using to share the correct information with you.

We’ll do our best to help with this! 🙂

  3. Hi Sara,

I believe Virgin is already in touch with you via email (support@balsamiq.com). We’re having a bit of trouble finding an account for you. Would you be able to share a bit more details with us? Just reply to that email thread, and we’ll do our best to assist.

  4. Hi Anna,

I can’t seem to login to my account to retrieve the wireframe I made on April 17th. Can you help me get it?

    Sara

    • Hi Sara and sorry for the trouble with this.

Alasdair replied to your emails yesterday with the related information but please don’t hesitate to get back to us if you need any further help. 🙂

  5. Hi,
I like to send a link of the full screen presentation to my clients and let them interactively view the Wireframe.
    Is it possible?
What if if they have no gmail account?
    Best
    Alain

  6. Hi all

We have just started using your product at our company and so far it does a great job. There is just one thing we could not solve – multi language mockups.

As we typically work in an international environment, our apps are typically provided in 2-4 language mutations.

Even during the mockup phase, it would be very useful if we could present the mockups to our clients in different languages but still keep the same master data.

Is such feature available or planned in the near future? I would believe it could be a quite an easy fix just providing an alternate set of labels for each element.

Many thanks for your support on this.

    Best regards

    • Hey Mikulas!

While we aren’t planning any type of language features right now, that may change when the native version of our Desktop app is ready. We are hoping to be able to talk more about that this year.

One thing you could do with the current app is use alternatives to swap languages. Alternates let you have different versions of a single Mockup. Here is more information: https://docs.balsamiq.com/desktop/alternates/

If you combine Alternates with Symbols (https://docs.balsamiq.com/desktop/symbols/), you would be able to have a master mockup that easily swapped between languages, while keeping the elements identical.

If you want to chat more about how to do this, shoot us an email. support@balsamiq.com

Thanks for dropping by today, Mikulas. Let me know if there is anything else we can do for you.
