Balsamiq dev update for the end of 2018

Happy Holidays, friends of Balsamiq!

Before we wrap up another year here, we wanted to give you one last development update before the clock strikes 2019. It's been another busy month for our dev teams, so let's dive in!

On the Balsamiq Cloud front, we have been experimenting with a new real-time collaboration solution that offers more privacy for you (bringing a system that was controlled by a third party in house), and more control of the stack for us (for the same reasons - a win win!) We thought we had it nailed down, but found out quickly that the new solution also had cross-domain and scalability issues (sorry to anyone who felt a hiccup a couple of weeks ago!) We went back to the drawing board, and are working on a solution. We will release it after some more rigorous testing.

On Desktop, we have launched private, invitation-only betas on both macOS and Windows, and things are going swimmingly! Here are a couple of screenshots from both platforms to whet your appetite!

And here is a little tease of something a lot of folks have been looking forward to: Wireframes to Go built directly into the desktop app!

I cannot tell you how exciting it is to be bringing you fresh Desktop apps in the new year. If you want to help us test them, send us an email, and we will get you added to the private beta list. 😊

That's all for this month. From all of us at Balsamiq, we hope you have a wonderful holiday season, however you choose to celebrate it. I'll be back next year with more dev updates!
