What happened to Balsamiq for Confluence Server and Jira Server?

Why did you stop selling licenses for Balsamiq for Confluence Server and Jira Server?

We follow Atlassian's Support End of Life Policy, meaning that we also stop supporting versions when Atlassian does. Atlassian has decided to stop selling Server licenses in February 2024, so we are doing the same.

We have an existing license for Confluence Server or Jira Server. What happens to me?

If your maintenance period exceeds February 15, 2024, you will be receiving a refund from us.

The app will continue to operate beyond that date, but it will no longer be supported or receive updates after that date.

What should we switch to now?

If you wanted to update your Server license and receive support, you could look at migrating to Balsamiq Confluence Cloud/Data Center, or Balsamiq Jira Cloud/Data Center.

Alternatively, you could look at using Balsamiq outside of Atlassian. With Balsamiq Cloud, you could still insert your wireframes as Image Links in the Confluence pages or Jira issues.
