Using images and icons
This section describes adding and using images and icons to your projects.
There are multiple ways to add images and icons to your wireframes, including dragging and dropping an image file from your computer on to the wireframes canvas.
However, adding a lot of images - or a small number of very large images - to your project can reduce the efficiency of your project.
As a low-fidelity tool, large images can be slower to load, use more disk space and increase the size of project files. Very large images can cause handling problems when editing. When adding images to your project, we may reduce the size of images in various ways:
- Resize the image to a maximum of 2 megapixels
- Down-scale Retina images from 2x to 1x
- Down-scale HiDPI images
- Convert PNG images to JPG when possible
Note: The image file formats supported are PNG, JPG/JPEG and GIF.
